Refugee
Republic
Ingo Gunther
4 October - 27 October 1996
Location: Tochoji Temple Auditorium P3
Ingo Gunther redefined the situation of refugees spreading
around the world as a capital asset and then established
a metaphysical republic by networking refugee camps
around the world. In the exhibition, Gunther's essay
'Refuge=Capital' was projected across a gigantic world
map that had only artificial borders. This project
has been implemented using a variety of media, including
this exhibition, the internet, T-shirts, and passports.
